"I think a good novel would be where a bunch of men on a ship are looking for a whale. They look and look, but you know what? They never find him. And you know why they never find him? It doesn't say. The book leaves it up to you, the reader, to decide. Then, at the very end, there's a page you can lick and it tastes like Kool-Aid."

—Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts], Recurring Saturday Night Live comedy bit

Your Library Director Welcomes You

Hello!

Fall is my favorite time of year, the color, the smells, pumpkins and crisp sweet apples! Doesn't get much better that this!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer.

The library is busy, busy, busy. We have our Pumpkin Fest on October 22 and  our Christmas Bake Sale the first weekend in December. The Read For A Lifetime that we co-partner with the high school is up and going. We have lots of new books for readers of any age and more coming in weekly. I am busy working on a cookbook of receipes from present and past library board members as well as some patrons. We will be selling these a  fund raiser for our library.

Keep in touch and I will see you all in the stacks!
